When I first heard that my sister it was expecting it was a complete surprise. Especially since we just had let everyone know that we ourselves were expecting too. What are the odds?! But the months passed by so very quickly and in the beginning of November I got to meet my first little niece: Emilia. She is just as tiny, sweet and amazing as she possible could be.

So being a creator; my mind went straight on thinking about all the things I wanted to make for little Emilia. But her mother, whom I love very much, doesn’t really share “my passion for homemade things” as she puts it. So therefore it was a bit tricky to sneak a project or two pass her well kept guard but then I came up with the idea of a modern, stylish, and nothing even close to being sugary sweet, chunky baby blanket. It’s completely done in the gorgeous moss stitch and I named it after my beloved little niece of course.

I really hope you’ll like it and want to give it a go. It’s such a quick and rewarding project that can easily be done in a day. I believe this version took me approximately 3 hours.

If you wish to change its width; simply make the desired width in an odd number of chain stitches.
For adjustments of the height; just keep on repeating the pattern until you are happy with it.

Happy crocheting!

Love,
Tess
