I have always been completely in love with the look of Fair Isle hats, but as a crocheter, who has yet to learn to knit (it’s on my bucket list for this year), I thought they were out of the realm of possibilities for me… until now!! The Everest Beanie has the beauty of a knit Fair Isle design, with the comfort and familiarity of crochet. So grab your hook and a cup of tea, and let’s get making!

Materials:
Size K/6.50mm Crochet Hook
Approx 195yds of Main Color (MC) I used Big Twist Chunky in “Chunky Natural”
Small amount of Contrasting Color (CC) I used Big Twist Chunky in “Chunky Slate”
10mm Faux Fur Pom Pom (optional)
Scissors
Yarn Needle
** You may substitute Big Twist Chunky for another yarn of your choice. I recommend a lighter bulky (5) yarn similar to Big Twist Chunky, or a thicker worsted weight (4) yarn such as Vanna’s Choice.
