This tote is the perfect size for a trip to the beach, the market, or to use as a project bag. This medium-sized bag measures approximately 12” tall by 16.5” wide. The fabric liner gives the bag a more polished look while also making it more durable and preventing it from getting stretched out. The round bottom of the bag measures approximately 10” deep.

This is an easy pattern, great for both beginners and experienced crocheters alike. The bag is worked in the round from the bottom up to the top. I have included two full YouTube tutorials to help you make the bag and fabric liner from start to finish.

To make this crochet tote, you will need approximately 300 yards of super bulky (size 6) yarn. I used Lion Brand Re-Spun. Other similar yarns like Lion Brand Hometown USA will also work well. You will also need 6.5 mm and 9 mm crochet hooks, stitch markers, a ruler for measuring your gauge, and a tapestry needle for weaving in your loose ends.

The fabric liner is totally optional. If you decide to add a liner to your bag, you will need a yard of fabric, fabric shears or a rotarty cutter, magic clips or pins, and other basic sewing supplies like a needle and matching thread. I used a sewing machine in the pattern and included video. You can sew the liner pieces together by hand if you prefer.
