I love textures and so it was a natural that I’d use them for this pattern. The changes between color and pattern remind me of the river I look at every day. The polka dot pattern makes me think of the river when it’s raining. The acorns remind me that the river carries logs from the north. The final pattern of checks gives me the sense of the patterning when the tide changes. I hope you love this shawl as much as I do.
