The flap hat is a playful hat that combines a modern simple expression with playful details. It is knitted as a long tube, with decreases at both ends. The hat is then folded into itself before you fold a brim, which makes the hat extra warm and thick. Finally stitches are picked up for flaps on each side of the hat which are knitted with decreases and finished with a cord.

Size: 1 (2)

Head circumference: approx. 52–57 (58–63) cm

Recommended needles: Circular needle 6 mm (40–60 cm)

Gauge: 14 sts = 10 cm in stockinette stitch

If the gauge does not match you must change needles. If you knit tighter and get more stitches per 10 cm, use thicker needles. If you knit looser and get fewer stitches per 10 cm, use thinner needles.

Yarn: 150 (200) g Fuzzy mohair from Untold (50 g = 90 m)

Alternatively other yarn with the same gauge. Remember that the amount of yarn changes depending on yardage.
