This cowl is very simple and a great way for beginners to try some textured knitting. There is also a matching Glamboo Beanie in my shop if you want to make the set.

This cowl requires 152+/- yards, so in most cases, you will need two skeins of the suggested yarn.

The recommended yarns are called either bulky or super bulky, but you are looking for a super bulky that is on the thinner side such as indie dyed 76 yard bulky, MadelineTosh Asap, or Baah Sequoia.

I don’t usually recommend blocking simple knits like hats and cowls but because this one is ribbed, I do recommend steam blocking if you can to open up the ribbing texture. It will still function completely fine without blocking, the blocking is more for the look.
