The gnome cap is a great beginner knitting project! It’s quick to knit up, and good for beginner knitters to learn decreasing, knitting in the round, and magic loop or double pointed needles. The hat is knitted with a tighter gauge to make a stiffer fabric, and the pattern itself is very easy and adaptable to different sizes. Really any chunky yarn you have will do!
