The Great Alpine Headband is a unisex headband full of engaging cablework. I designed this quick knit for our upcoming short getaway to the Victorian High Country, as often I just want warm ears and don’t want to wear a full beanie. The Great Alpine Headband is named after the 300km road that spans East Gippsland and the the Victorian Alpine region from Bairnsdale to the Ovens Valley. It is a beautiful part of the world, true high country, full of winding roads such as the famous Great Alpine Road, picturesque snowy capped mountains, and quaint towns.
