Hi!
This is a hat inspired by my son, whom we call “Buddy” on the regular…One day he picked out 7 different colors of yarn from my stash and asked me to make him a hat with ALL of them. So, I did, and what came of it was a cartoonish, colorful hat that really suited his high spirit and personality. He can’t stop, and won’t stop!

It has developed into this version of the hat, knit in one of my favorite cushy yarns - Manos Del Uruguay, Maxima. The colors are endless for this yarn, and there are so many potential combinations! This hat can be knit with the colors I mentioned, or could be a great stash-buster for you.

The pattern includes three sizes:
Newborn:16-18” head circumference
Toddler: 18”-20”
Kid: 20-22”
Addled Length: 2” or so added to the Toddler and Kid sizes

The Buddy Hat is wonderful for growing kids, because it is entirely knit in ribbing, which gives it a lot of stretch. I hope you enjoy this pattern. And, of course, reach out if you have any questions!
