The Hazel Beanie is named after my youngest daughter, Hazel. The pattern has a repeat of stitches that create a beautiful texture and a nice flow while working it up. It has been written to be easily customized for fit. There are notes throughout the pattern for making the hat more slouchy and for the smaller sizes.

This hat is made from the bottom up.

This is an intermediate pattern. You will need to have knowledge of basic crochet stitches, working with FPDC, decreases, and 3rd loop stitch. All of these can be found on youtube and I have included a few links.

This hat calls for worsted weight yarn, however you could easily modify this hat to use a bulky yarn.

Hooks recommended are H 5.00mm and I 5.5mm. Additional items suggested are a measuring tape (a must), scissors, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, and a pom is optional.
