This pattern is the KNIT VERSION of the Headwaters Project Bag.

The Headwaters of the Mississippi River begin with a trickle over a stony pass from Lake Itasca in northern Minnesota. Families and adventurers make their way to Itasca State Park to explore and mark this destination off their bucket list. The Mighty Miss meanders its way down through 10 states and empties through the delta into the Gulf of Mexico in New Orleans, LA. The length of this long pass is debatable depending on how and where the ebbs and flow of the river are measured. The official length was 2320 miles in fall of 2018 when we opened our shop. We believe that every grand tale begins small, builds to a crescendo, and can happily be wound back to its beginning. Our 2022 MN Yarn Shop Hop pattern is inspired by the palatial view of Lake Itasca in Itasca State Park, the adventure of exploring new places, and the beauty of new beginnings. Cast or hook on your own Headwaters Project Bag and carry a good yarn with you wherever you go, Fiber Friend. We are happy to have you here in the land of MUSE!
