The Hoodie Scarf Collection
This pattern has two designs: An adult Mosaic Hoodie Scarf and a Youth Hoodie Scarf. Both are detailed below:
Alpaca/Merino Mosaic Hoodie Scarf
A mosaic masterpiece of warmth! This hoodie scarf uses the deceptively simple technique of mosaic knitting developed by Barbara J. Walker. The shadow technique is used to define the hoodie section, while the scarf boasts a 3 button finish. This combination of hood and scarf gives the utmost in versatility, so beautifully draped on the neckline and with the hood up, it’s a wonderful protector from those winter elements (wind and blowing snow). Step out in style this winter with a hoodie scarf!
Alpaca/Merino Youth Hoodie Scarf
A winter playground favorite! This hoodie scarf uses a travelling cable set against a moss stitch background to create interest at the front of the scarf. The extensive cable/moss panel balanced against the stockinette stitch creates an asymmetric imbalance that works well for this hoodie. The hood curves gently as it is knit up. The back 10 inches when sewn together creates a cable complete with a tassle at the top. The scarf is joined by an i-cord and Chinese knots combination.
