This pattern was designed to be very simple and graphic - just pick two colors and go. A great accent for any room, whether traditional-country or minimalist-modern.

Douple-Pointed needles are used to make simple motifs starting from the center outwards. It’s the perfect project to take long when traveling as the motifs can be worked up quickly and don’t require too much space.

After the squares are knitted, they are to be arranged in a checkerboard pattern, woven together from the back so as to create defining front ridges. And finally the entire afghan comes together when a striped border is worked around the edge with simple crochet.

Nothing could be more chic or warmer for a chilly evening by the fire.
