Pattern description from The Sweater Workshop: “This tiny sleeveless vest keeps baby’s back snug and warm while allowing those busy arms the freedom to explore the air. The straight welt version ‘grows,’ and may still fit as he/she begins to crawl around on cold floors. Both patterns are reversible - no seams. The vest is knit back and forth, beginning on a circular needle.”

Yarn: 3 ounces Bartlettyarns’ 2-ply Fisherman, or similar heavy worsted-weight yarn

Needles: one #6 24-inch circular, two #6 double-pointed

Note: The vest may be worked in either the Waved Welt of the Straight Welt pattern. (Waved Welt is from Reader’s Digest Complete Book of Needlework, 1979.)
