Yarn

Designed in Fibre Studio 12 skein mini-skein set in “Cheers.” It was designed for Black Mountain’s Indie Extravaganza and Southeast Fiber Fair in Asheville this weekend - kits available at both places.

You may also use 4 separate skeins of fingering weight yarn in a gradient, fade, or coordinated combination (instructions given for both.)

The Insomniac was designed to let the yarn do all of the work. If you are someone who is up at odd hours watching “Naked and Afraid” (y’all know who you are), you can knit at 2am without fear. It has the added bonus of being very repetitive and soothing so it might just help you go back to sleep.

It is made in the round from the top, down. It begins with a cowl section and gradually increases to fall over one’s shoulders, and is longer than All Points South and Magical Thinking. But again, this is not an actual poncho, as it will fit people differently, depending on one’s bust size.

You can look at All Points South or Magical Thinking to see how it will fit (but it is longer.)
