The Ivy Wrap
Gauge: 24 sts x 32 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking for the body, designer used US 5 (3.75 mm) needles to achieve gauge but some testers used size - size needles. For the colorwork it is 20 sts x 29 rows = 1.75”/4 cm x 4”/10 cm, designer used size 2.5 (3.00 mm) needles but some testers used size - size needles
Difficulty Level: This pattern is most easily approached by an intermediate knitter, however, was tested successfully by beginners as well
About: The Ivy Wrap is a whimsical top, inspired by the parallels between the curves of the body, and the curves of nature. This is my first design, and I couldn’t be more proud to bring it to you. This wrap has been graded in 9 sizes across bust sizes 28“/71 cm - 60”/152.5 cm, and includes guidance for including bust darts. It is knit up in a DK-weight yarn, or two fingering weight yarns held together. The fabric is meant to be light enough to wear through the transitional seasons, and in the cool evenings of the summer
Construction: The Ivy Wrap is a raglan-style wrap cardigan worked flat, from the top down, with yarn over increases, and a slight bell sleeve. It features a double-knitted colorwork vine motif, and a miniature fern lace motif with crocheted picot edges bordering the sleeves
Sizing:
Recommended negative ease: 0-2”/0-5 cm
Sizes XS, S, M (L, XL, 2XL) 3XL, 4XL, 5XL

You don’t need to choose a yarn in the same fiber. Choose by weight for gauge and in the fiber that suits your intended garment. Avoid alpaca heavy blends, as they like to stretch and are not ideal for a wrap top
