Pattern Details

Sizes: 2 Sizes

Gauge: 24 stitches and 32 rows per 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.

Needles: 2 sets of DPNs in size needed to achieve gauge listed above (suggested size: US 4/3.5 mm).

Materials used: Yarndyeries Sock (Fingering; 80% superwash merino wool/20% nylon; 434 yds/115 held double OR worsted weight/any other yarn that knits up to desired gauge).

Designer’s note: feel free to experiment with yarn weights and needle sizes! I’ve made this troll using fingering held double, worsted, and super bulky! Just make sure to choose a needle size that gives you a firm fabric, as you will be stuffing your Troll!

Yardage: 1 ball of worsted weight and 1 ball of accent yarn (for hair)

Other Notions: Safety eyes, tapestry needle, 2 mm crochet hook, stuffing and 1 ball of accent yarn for hair (I used mohair but feel free to experiment).
