This striped scarf is worked lengthwise and hides the tail ends in the fringe finishing, so there is no sewing. It’s long enough to wrap around your neck more than once. The stitch pattern is just a step up from the basic garter stitch scarf that we all do as our first learn-to-knit project. There are two variations to give you an extra option, but the main twist in the first version, which is reversible, is that the rows of colour are worked in sets of three rather than the usual standard of even-numbered row stripes. It’s also a great pattern for all the fabulous sock yarn that we know is sitting in your stash.
