This is a super easy beginner friendly pattern. The Lakota Cowl is a lovely modern cowl that works with any bulky size 5 or 6 yarn.

I used the beautiful puff stitch for this cowl. The puff stitch is so versatile you can use it for blankets as well as garments. I wanted to create a cowl with some big bright buttons. I think the addition of the buttons modernized the cowl just a bit. Of course, you can omit them entirely if you wish. They do help keep the cowl secured on your neck however.
