• ch = chain

• sl = slip stitch

• sc = single crochet

• dc = double crochet

• hdc = half double crochet

• row 1: magic circle 6 sc

• row 2: ch 2, 1 dc each stitch, 2 dc each third stitch, sl third highest stitch

• row 3: ch 2, 1 dc each stitch, 2 dc one stitch number higher than the previous row for each row (example: 2 dc each forth - fifth - sixth - and so on) until head size reached, sl third highest stitch

• when head size reached ch 2, 1 dc the first half of circle, 1 hdc the second half, sl third highest stitch

• repeat until hat forms a right triangle when folded form the side

• end row 1: (can change color, keep original color, or stop) ch 1, 1 sc second stitch, sc two more stitches, repeat, sl first highest stitch

• end row 2: ch 2, 2 dc first stitch, 1 dc two more stitches, repeat, sl third highest stitch

• repeat for two more rows

• end row 5: repeat end row 1
