These are single colour cabled socks based on various Victorian patterns from UK archives which I have adapted into a toe up pair that can be knitted as a pair using a magic loop.

These are knitted in the round on 3.75mm needles.

Although the originals have been made in Drops Lima, the high Alpaca content makes them very soft and this could be substituted for a superwash / nylon blend if you require a hardier sock.

For a more traditional historical construction, a wool/silk blend is more traditional. Knee high pattern is coming soon!
