Difficulty

This pattern uses simple stitches. However, the décor elements utilize advanced techniques such as surface crochet. Picture tutorials are provided to make any complicated techniques as simple as possible.

Sizes

The backpack is written for one size. The strap lengths can be adjusted to fit anyone of any size!

Finished Measurements

Base of bag is an oval 8.5” x 5.5”
Height of bag is 7”

Yarn

Approximately 350 yards of a worsted weight (4) cotton yarn

Sample was made using 5 skeins of Lion Brand Re-up yarn (4 skeins* in the color “ecru” and 1 skein in the color “black”)

To complete the backpack, you will only use a total of 3 skeins of Lion Brand Re-up yarn in the color “ecru.” However, because you are working the pattern with 2 strands held together, it is easier to get 4 skeins and use the leftovers for another project!
