This sweater is constructed using the log cabin knitting technique. It is constructed by knitting a front- and back piece and then grafting them together. After assembling the front and back pieces, you will pick up stitches at the armholes for sleeves and add ribbing for the neck and bottom.

There are many possibilities in how to use the log cabin knitting technique for creating sweaters and other garments like vests, cardigans or even dresses. In this knitting recipe you’ll find the instructions for a sweater. In the last part of the pattern, I’ll give you some bonus information on how to take this technique further once you feel confident enough in exploring your own log cabin knitting creativity.

Sizing is individually adaptable to your body’s specific needs.
In the pattern I give detailed information on how to use scrap yarns and reach the desired gauge. It is perfect for using up scraps.
