Welcome to the Lost Boy Sweater!

The Lost Boy is the latest pattern release to hit my wardrobe and has a classic raglan sleeve design. The varying stripes add an easy but effective point of difference to this design. Search #lostboysweater on Instagram to see all the amazing creations made so far!

The pattern is written with Australian terms but there are size conversions in the pattern.

Model is 181cm (5’11) and wears size M.
The length is adjustable and instructions can be found within the pattern. The design is intended to be oversized with 20cm (8”) of positive ease. If you want a tighter fitting garment then look at the “finished size” as an indicator of which size to select.

I have used Brooklyn Tweed for the Lost Boy. This yarn is a 100% American Targhee-Columbia wool that is natural and rustic and gives off that real wool look. The yarn is a 10ply/worsted weight and knit using 5mm needles (US 8) so a perfect thickness for a nice easy project.

Please remember that if you can’t source the yarn that is recommended then try to find a yarn with a similar tension gauge. The tension gauge is the most important part when ensuring your completed jumper is the same as what you see in the pictures.

This garment is knit using stocking stitch and knit in panels from the bottom up. The panels are then sewn together to complete the garment. I tried to simplify the pattern as much as possible in order to make it an easy and enjoyable project. A schematics of the design is attached at the end of the pattern that shows the measurements of each part of the jumper. The measurements are in metric measurements so remember when you are converting - 2.5cm is equivalent to 1 inch :)
