CONSTRUCTION
The LOST SHORTS is a high waisted short, worked from the top down, in the round, beginning with the waistband and then working down the hips. Stitches are then split for the legs, with customisable options to make as cheeky or modest as preferred.

22-24 (26-28) 30-32 (34-36) 38-40 (42-44) 46-48, (50-52) inches / 56-61 (66-71) 75-81 (86.5-91.5) 96.5-101.5 (107-112) 117-122 (127-132) cm.

FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS
a. WAIST: 20.5 (24) 29 (34) 37 (41) 46 (48) inches / 52 (61) 73.5 (87) 94 (104) 117 (122) cm finished waist measurement. Garment is intended to be worn with 2-4 inches / 5-10 cm of negative ease built in.
b. HIPS: 28 (33) 38 (43) 45 (48.5) 52 (55) inches / 71 (84) 97 (110) 114 (123) 132 (140.5) cm finished hip measurement. Garment is intended to be worn with 1-4 inches / 2.5-10 cm of negative ease built in.

SUGGESTED YARN
I would suggest using a wool blend with nylon or a sock yarn for more sturdy wear.

Samples made in size XS.
Blue: Prosper Yarn in colour Defying Gravity (80% Merino 20% Nylon, 400 metres/ 437 yds, 100 g) . If you decide to use this yarn, 2 (2) 2 (2) 2 (2) 3 (3) skeins are required.
Green: Qing Fibre single merino in colour Grass (100% Superwash Merino, 366 metres/ 400 yds, 100 g) . If you decide to use this yarn,
2 (2) 2 (2) 3 (3) 3 (3) skeins are required.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
~ 3.25 mm US 3 circular needles 16, 32/40 inches 40, 80/100 cm, or size to obtain gauge.
~ 2.75 mm US 2 circular needles for the waistband and hem.

GAUGE
Correct gauge is important to get the same finished measurements as listed in the pattern.
28 sts and I 36 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in 2x1 rib on 3.25 mm US 3 needles, blocked.
