The Marieke Slouch Hat
by Johnny Skein
The Marieke Hat is knitted with a pattern that combines the warmth of Merino with light ventilation.
The yarn is spun from a combination of equal parts – Fine Merino and Silk. The Merino offers the softness and warmth, while the silk offers drape and luster. Combined, they provide a truly elegant hat of natural fibers with warmth and handle.
There is no great concern with gauge…only note that with suggested needles - I am a tight knitter and you may need to drop 1-2 needle gauges.
Any substitutions in yarn will result in a much different garment.
