A whimsical and lacey project, this ankle sock will be a beautiful addition to your sock drawer! Its a repetitive project with only a four row repeat, and a fast moving one as well, due to the short ankle length.

I recommend this pattern for the intermediate knitter, who is comfortable with cables, lace stitches, and shaping techniques.

In addition, I wrote the pattern so you would be able to use whatever tools you had available (DPN’s, magic loop method, and 9 inch circular needles). You will need stitch markers for this method.

Sizes include: Small, Medium, and Large. You can make the socks as long or as short as you would like - the pattern gives written instructions for ankle length socks.

Needle size: US Size 1, 2.25 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge).

You will need approx. 232- 348 yds of sock yarn (50 - 75 g). I recommend using a solid/tonal yarn so your project will easily show the cable and lace detailing!
