This pattern is written in US-terms.
This top is a slim fit, body hugging top, crocheted from top to bottom. You can stop at any length you like. It can be a crop top of even a dress. The top is worked in rounds. Each round closes with a slst. Each round starts with a standing hdc (or ch2).

Materials used
3mm hook
300 g Katia Concept (50g/ 150m)
Yarn needle
Scissors
Measuring tape

You can use any yarn you like. Preferably not too chunky as the star stitch might get too thick and heavy unless you increase the hook size big time. Using other yarn and/or hook sizes will influence the gauge and therefore the amount of stitches needed. You will not be able to do the calculation in my size-chapter.
Doing the cast on dc however will give you the opportunity to fit for size. That will work because that’s how I did it.

You will need an even amount of stitches because the star stitch is worked over 2 stitches.

Used stitches and abbreviations
-chain (ch)
-slipstitch (slst)
-half double crochet (hdc)
-decrease (dec)
-increase (inc)
-finish off (f/o)
-yarn over (yo)
-front loop only (flo)

Special stitches
1. chainless foundation double crochet
