The Granny square has made a recent comeback and I love seeing all the jumpers and other garments using them popping up. Of course I wanted to jump on the Granny train too and design one myself.

Knotsosquare wouldn’t be not so square if I wouldn’t give my Granny jumper a twist.

The Mitred Granny square
When I first saw a photo of a Mitred Granny square on Pinterest, it was love at first sight. I just had to do something with this quirky design. It’s a fun alternative for the good old traditional version I reckon!

I played around with a few colours which worked out nicely, but of course you can play your own game!

The Jumper
The jumper consists of two panels, a back and a front one. You could also make the front panel twice and treat one as the back panel.

You’ll then make the sleeves separately. In the round, to minimize the sewing. By that time you have sewn enough

Katia Lagom
I used Katia Lagom for my jumper because I love the faded colours it comes in. It’s a wool and cotton blend in soft natural and pale melange colours. This soft padded and corded yarn is perfect for making your jumper. The wool/cotton mix makes it also comfortable to wear in spring and autumn.
