This sock pattern was originally designed for the Sock Knitters Anonymous group on Ravelry as the July 2025 Mystery Sock (or MOCK) to fit the featured theme ‘Art & Music’.

The inspiration for these socks was the symphonic poem ‘The Moldau’ (also known by its Czech name ‘Vltava’), one of my favourite classical music pieces.

Size and measurements
Women’s S, M, and L to fit leg circumference 17.5 (20, 22.5) cm 7 (7.75, 8.75)”. Leg length including heel results in 23 (23.5, 24) cm 9 (9.25, 9.5)”. Foot length is adjustable.

1 skein of fingering weight yarn with a yardage of approximately 400 m (437 yds) per 100 g
Used in the sample: PondeRosa Sockenwolle 4-fach, 420m/100g, 75% Merino, 25% Nylon in colourway ‘Meeresrauschen’

Size 2.25mm / US size 1 DPNs or circular needle(s) for your preferred method to knit in the round
