The Mourning Shawl Mystery Knitting Pattern is now available on Ravelry.

This design became one of the most beloved projects on my website, and so many knitters asked to work it through Ravelry that I knew it was time to bring it there too.

The Mourning Shawl is not just a mystery knit.
It is a story told through stitches.

Each section reveals a new part of an unfolding narrative that travels alongside your knitting. As the shawl grows, so does the story, creating a quiet rhythm between reading and making that feels immersive, reflective, and deeply personal.

You receive the full pattern in one PDF, but it is designed to be worked section by section to preserve the mystery and emotional journey.

You will need:
• 6 skeins of worsted weight yarn in moody, earthy colors. (I have a bundle dyed specifically for this pattern linked below and it comes with the pattern!)
• US 9 circular needles
• A quiet evening and something warm to drink

Skill level: Intermediate
Gauge: 4.5 stitches per inch
Best for knitters comfortable with written instructions, color changes, and simple lace or textured stitches.
