This pattern is close to one size fits all for adults. It is meant to be a headband, with the strap and buttons seamed on at the end.

It incorporates eyelet lace to make the Mickey Mouse-inspired look, and you can look at the video I made as I was making the pattern to get some more details about the choices I made along the way. It is not a tutorial video, more of a blog on how I made it, so keep that in mind if you choose to watch it.

If you use a typical worsted weight yarn, you may want to size up the needles again as the Berroco Iris is very thin and fairly slippery compared to a typical worsted weight yarn.

Keep that in mind for the gauge as well, as the Iris yarn is going to knit up differently than a different yarn of the same weight. I wouldn’t say the gauge is super important here, just make sure your stitches are relaxed, not too tight and loose enough that the lace design is visible.
