This shawl was designed for a completion at Grandma’s Spinning Wheel in Tucson Arizona. This shawl was knit during an arthritis flare up in where I could not feel my hands at all do to numb hands, thus the name The N.H. Shawl. This is why it is knit on such large knitting needles. This is also why you will also always be knitting with 2 strands of yarn together.

I did not knit to a specific gage.

1 U.S. size 13 (9.0 mm) 60 inch (150cm) circular knitting needle. If you have an interchangeable set you might want to start with a shorter cable and add more cable near the end of the pattern.
