The Nirvana Mitten Pattern is an advanced beginner cable knit pattern. It gets its namesake from another one of my favorite places in my home town of Cordova, Alaska. Nirvana Park sits right on the edge of Eyak Lake and as the fog sets over the lake it becomes truly ethereal.

This pattern is knit in the round from the bottom up and comes in 3 weight options; Aran, LSB/ Bulky, or Super Bulky Weight Yarns.

Aran:
-US Size 8 (5mm) DPNs
-US Size 10.5 (6.5mm) DPNs
-130-150 yds. of Malabrigo Mecha, Seatoskydesigns petite plush, or similar

Bulky/ LSB:
-US Size 10 (6mm) DPNs
-US Size 11 (8mm) DPNs
-104-130 yds. of Malabrigo Chunky, Malabrigo Noventa or similar

Super Bulky:
-US Size 10.5 (6.5mm) DPNs
-US Size 13 (9mm) DPNs
90 yds. Malabrigo Rasta or similar

-Stitch Marker
-Tapestry Needle
-Scissors
-Cable Needle

Note: If you tend to knit tightly you may need to size up your needles. Cables tend to tighten things up. If you would like to make your mittens longer additional yardage may be needed.
