The design of The Odd Couple is simple. The mittens are knitted in the round like a top down sweater with raglan sleeves, knitted on circular needles using the Magic Loop technique or on double pointed needles. You start by knitting the thumb and then proceed with four quarters.
The cuff and the opposite border will be knit on later.
On top of the mittens I used the Bubble Wrap stitch. Of course you can decide to knit all quarters in stocking stitch or bubble wrap stitch.

The best yarn to use is sock yarn for 2-3 mm needles, a 75%wool-25%nylon/polyamid blend. This wool-nylon blend helps the mittens to keep their form.
I chose Schoppel Wolle Zauberball, Col: 2308 – Smoking Area – 100 grams = 420 meters
One skein Zauberball (50 gram) is enough for 2 pairs of mittens.
Gauge: 30 st x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm or 2,5 x 2,5 inches.
You can use thicker yarn and adapt the number of stitches for the thumb bus always cast on stitches in multiples of 4. (to be divided in four quarters after you completed the thumb.
