An orderly sequence of garter stitch using two distinct yarns creates a unique texture reminiscent of medieval chain maille. Cowl is knit flat, then joined to create a loop - or, keep knitting and create a scarf of your desired length. Three colors of fluffy soft Katia Cotton Merino are alternated with Katia Air Lux to create a cozy double loop cowl with a bit of shine.

Worked entirely in the knit stitch, this project is suitable for beginning knitters that are comfortable reading a pattern, but more advanced knitters will find the project interesting and relaxing. You will need a circular needle, as the pattern requires the ability to slide all the stitches back to the beginning to knit two passes of each row.

Finished dimensions of double loop cowl are 9” wide x 54” around. If knitting a scarf, your finished length will be 60-70” long.
