This little fairisle cowl is a fast and addictive piece designed for those of us who deserve a little bit of whimsy in our lives! Its charted characteristics make it easy to follow even if English isn’t your first language. The pattern contains 2 versions. The first one is taller than the second version and fits nicely under a coat’s collar. The second version is shorter and the fabric is doubled making it a bit stiffer to showcase the owl motive a bit more than the first version. The choice is yours!
While the sample piece was knit in fingering weight yarn this cowl can easily be made a bit bigger by using a sport weight yarn if you so wish.

While not an exact copy, the fingerless mitt pattern Hoot ! would be the perfect complement to The Owl Cowl!
