The Perfect Wave Shawl is a reversible, asymmetrical triangle, half worked in modular technique and half worked in simple stockinette stripes.

The modular part starts with a single seashell from which stitches are picked up for the next modules, so the individual seashells are joined directly in the knitting process. No sewing is required and the amount of ends to weave in is kept to a minimum.

For an eclectic, elegant shawl, make it in one single color from a luxurious hand-dyed yarn, or take the modular construction as an opportunity to use multiple colors, leftover yarns or miniskeins.

Measurements of the sample shawl:
75 cm (29.5“) maximum depth
181 cm (71.25“) wingspan length
