Description:
Let me start off by saying this is not a beginner friendly pattern. It requires you to be able to visualize the pattern to a certain extent to make sure all your cable repeats line up perfectly etc. Throughout the whole knitting process the knitter is supposed to keep track of when to work a cable him/herself because I will not describe this process row by row. The knitter has to be able to increase a European shoulder to shape the yoke while also working cables, the same goes for the shoulders.
The sweater is knit up starting with the back yoke which is shaped with a European shoulder. Then when the back yoke is finished, stitches are picked up on both shoulders and connected at the neckline. The front yoke is then knit up and later connected to the back by casting on underarm stitches. The body is knit up in the round and finished up with 1 by 1 ribbing. The sleeves are knit straight down in pattern without decreases so this is arguably the easiest part of the pattern. Lastly, stitches for the neckline are picked up and knitted.
