The scarf is knit in one piece before seaming the sides of the pockets with a simple mattress stitch.

You can simply follow the instructions to create a lovely chunky knit scarf, with deep pockets, but there are also many opportunities for you to customise the fit of your scarf to be the perfect fit for your body. I will guide you through the options, as we come to them, so you feel comfortable making each decision.

The pictured scarf was knit in a super chunky yarn but the pattern has been specifically written for any yarn and any gauge.

The Pocket Scarf can be knit entirely in one colour and will be fantastic, but I cordially invite you to let your creative side run wild. You could fade from one colour to another, create a marled fabric by holding two or three strands of yarn together, colour block with coordinating or contrasting colours or even add a fluffy layer with some Suri Silk or Mohair.
