The “Pumpkin patch Cap”

This simple garter stitch baby hat is designed for the beginner knitter in mind.

Any little one will look adorable this Halloween wearing our simple “Pumpkin Patch Cap”!

It is knitted entirely with garter stitch and involves using K2tog decreases and a simple colour change to create an effective, cute pumpkin cap!

It is knitted flat and therefore only requires 5 mm needles.

The size options available are 6 months, 12 months and 18 months. The garter stitch is fairly stretchy and so will accommodate most sizes of head.

All that is need is 50 g of each colour in any DK wool, in both green and orange. In the pattern, John Lewis 100% Merino wool is used. It is recommended to use and extra soft wool so that it is friendly to your baby’s sensitive skin.
