Named after the boat captain in Jaws, the Quint hat reminded me of a fisherman’s hat and is designed to be worn either with a folded brim (beanie style) or unfolded for a more slouchy look. The entire hat is worked holding 2 yarn colors together to create a marled effect. The rib pattern makes a very elastic hat and the Twisted German cast-on lets the cast-on edge be elastic as well. The sock yarn creates a light-weight, soft hat that is perfect to slip in a pocket or bag when you’re headed out the door or to wear all day without getting heavy.
