This is a simple beanie with a ribbed look, without having to do rows and rows of scblo or dcblo. This beanie is worked from the bottom up, making the band first and growing the hat from there.

I have made this hat using a 3 weight yarn and an I hook, and a 4 worsted weight with a J hook. My tension is way tighter than most people though, so unless you have a crazy tight tension, like me, then you’ll want to go down a hook size or two!

My intention with this hat is to make something that looks neat but is very simple. A ribbed look without the normal ribbed technique! I hope you all enjoy this pattern and I hope to see pictures of your finished work!
