This shawl has been the staple piece to my wardrobe, year round, for years. It’s versatility is fantastic. In the summer, it’s a tank top and shorts, and when the sun goes down its this shawl. It can easily be THE accessory for a cocktail dress. It’s great for fall and winter, with some skinny jeans and boots. This pattern is so adaptable. The great bones of the pattern can be tweaked and added to, so easily, to make each one unique. I’ve never made the same one, twice.
This shawl is knitted in the round, on size 7 circular needles. There are plenty of yarns that can be used: Fancy Image Fingering weight, with two strands held together, Fancy Image Yarn DK weight (which is a heavier DK), or any worsted weight yarn. The gauge for this pattern is 5 stitches and 6 rounds per inch. This design is great for accent yarns and scrap yarn, too! But it does not require them. You will need 300-600 yards of the yarns listed above, size 7 circular needles, eyelash yarn (optional), 120-300 yards of Fancy Image Yarn Kid Mohair (for the optional ruffle edge), and a size 7 DPN for the bind off.
