This pattern is my creation for the First Ever Battle of the Stitches!
Such a fun competition and it was an honor to be included - 10 challengers were given the instructions for a stitch and we had to just GO! Design a pattern using that stitch, using any yarn, and making any type of product, with a theme of Mother’s day. This is my creation, The Rockies Drawstring Handbag.

It works as a purse.
It works as a backpack.
It works as a beach bag or project bag.
You can even use it as a market bag!

Reinforced bottom so its strong enough for all your STUFF.
Long drawstring converts it to a backpack style bag.
Super-fun texture and plenty of room inside!

You’ll need:
Less than 10oz of I Love or Lily Cotton
H hook
Plastic canvas for reinforcing the bottom
1.5” button - optional

This fun and functional bag works up in less than two hours and makes a fantastic gift. I hope you have as much fun making it as I did designing it!
