The Root shawl is a stockinette stitch triangular shawl that is worked in two pieces and then seamed together. Contrast color stripes are worked in vertically stranded color-work. There is an i-cord edge and short rows are worked on the bottom garter stitch section.

Finished Measurements: 62 inches (158cm) wide x 34 inches (86cm) long.

Pattern includes instructions for vertically stranded color-work, wrap & turn short rows, the Icelandic bind off, and links to instructions for seaming using the mattress stitch.

Sample uses 2 skeins of Blue Sky Fibers WOOLSTOK in color #1300L Cast Iron. Contrast colors #1308 Golden Meadow, #1309 Earth Ivy, #1318 Thermal Spring, and #1320 Spring Ice were used from the Woolstok Cool Bundle. Approx 15 grams of each color were used.
