This is a top down sock inspired by the TARDIS desktop from “Doctor Who”. There’s even a little bow-tie on the toe - because bow-ties are cool! The heel is worked in a diagonal ribbing to add to the timey-wimey effect.

The pooling with the striped yarn is used purposefully to create a more ‘space-like’ effect, but the sock can be worked in solids and semi-solids too with good results. Two needle sizes have been included as the heel is a little snug and I would suggest the large needle size if you have a wider foot.

Pattern notes provide one quote from “The Day of the Doctor,” but it’s only the most minor of spoilers.
