The iconic carpet from the Overlook Hotel in the movie The Shining in sock form! At an intermediate difficulty level, these socks are knit from the top down and designed with an afterthought heel to make the stranded knitting as painless as possible. You’ll be reaching for these cozy socks not just for Halloween, but all season long.

YARN
Cascade Heritage Sock yarn (100g, 400 m): one skein of each pumpkin, zinnia red, and walnut (or use any brown, red, and orange sock yarn).

NEEDLES
2.25mm double-pointed needles (or size required to obtain gauge).

GAUGE
36 sts x 34 rows in pattern.
