PATTERN NOTES

“Swords in these parts are mostly blunt, and axes are used for trees, and shields as cradles or dish-covers.”

The Shire Hat is cozy and comfortable, like the Shire itself. It has a textured pattern reminiscent of both the fields, hills, and roads of the Hobbits’ land, as well as of the wood paneled walls of their hobbit-holes and the brocade cloth of their best waistcoats.

The Shire Hat is cast on at the bottom and worked seamlessly to the top. It looks lovely with or without a pompom and is sure to keep the wearer snug and contented.

The circumference of the hat is 20.5”- it will fit most heads!
