This pattern was inspired by Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman. I created it to make a Christmas gift for my grandad, who loves the film very much.

It’s a very simple pattern worked in the round and should be doable for beginners and experienced crocheters.

You will need a small amount of white wool for the snowman’s body, green (or your colour of choice!) for the scarf, and orange and black thread/wool for the detailing on the face. You may wish to use safety eyes instead of sewing the detailing— if so, remember to add them before you start stuffing the head.
